Jarunee is working to promote civil society engagement in cultural heritage protection in Thailand since the establishment of the Society’s Heritage Trust division in 2010. She has worked raise awareness of heritage protection issues throughout the country and in Bangkok, especially, working in collaboration with communities, and partner organizations in the city’s historical districts to share knowledge, offer education, promote networking, and organize advocacy campaigns to combat unsustainable development projects that are destructive of cultural heritage. She has conducted expert meetings and delivered their opinions and recommendations to authorities. Jarunee completed her M.A. in cultural management at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok (2009) and her B.A. with a major in German and a minor in history from Silpakorn University, Bangkok (2004).
