Dr. Sutheera started out as a medical student at faculty of medicine, Chulalongkorn university in 2003. During her freshman year, she discovered her passion for basic sciences and research so she decided to transfer to Harvard College as a sophomore in 2004. At Harvard, she majored in Biochemical sciences and graduated with Magna Cum Laude in 2007. Her internship with Harvard Stem Cell Institute as an undergrad led her to develop an interest in stem cell research, a topic which she worked on extensively during her Ph.D. at Harvard Medical School. Currently, she is a faculty member at faculty of medicine, Chulalongkorn University, teaching both undergraduate and graduate biomedical courses such as stem cell biology, cell biology, cancer biology and human molecular genetics. Apart from being a scientist, she is also an avid traveler and foodie. She has a strong commitment to better Thailand's education.
