Dr. Aksornsri Phanishsarn is Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at Thammasat University and Director of the Strategic Research Center for Thailand – China (Thai-Chinese Strategic Research Center: TCRC), the National Research Council. She obtained a BA Degree in Economics at Chulalongkorn University in 1990 and a MA Degree in International Economics and Chinese Studies at the Johns Hopkins University, The Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in 1994. She earned a Ph.D. in Integrated Science from Thammasat University in 2005. Dr. Aksornsri is specialized in China’s Economy, International Trade, International Commercial Policy, and WTO. She received a number of scholarships and awards including the Gold Medal Award from the King of Thailand in 1990 at Chulalongkorn University; the Royal Thai Government Scholarship for Graduate Study in the United States in 1992-1994; the Royal Golden Jubilee Doctoral Program Scholarship from the Thai Government.
