With over fifteen years’ experience in media relations and strategic communications, Baralee is currently Regional Communications Manager at HelpAge International, East Asia Pacific Regional Office, based in Chiang mai, Thailand. With diverse work experience in international agencies, a foreign diplomatic mission, an international media company, and a non-profit organization, Baralee has developed a global outlook, along with the ability to operate and adapt across many different sectors. Along with professional experience and global perspective, Baralee is also a committed advocate. She has spent much of the past six years using her understanding of public health trends and gaps to promote improvements in health care services for people who use drugs throughout the Asia Pacific region. Baralee is an Australian-educated Thai national, and graduated with a Media Studies degree from RMIT University in Melbourne. With HelpAge International, she leads development of communications strategy, media relations, campaigns, and management of communication products.
