Pilaiwan Prapruit Ph.D. is an environmental expert in environmental management and community development and economic, social, and corporate management. Some of her work includes an action plan for the conservation and management of mangroves by community groups and the use of participatory rural appraisal of the parish community of Songkhla which was published in the Journal of Research for Development (Humanities and Social Sciences). She joined the discussion at the National Conference on Agricultural Systems 5 “Renewable energy and food security for humanity” and also presented the issue on “The response to the crisis of the coastal communities of the endangered Irrawaddy dolphins in Songkhla Lake Basin”. She is also engaged with the local communities in Songkhla to help develop the area adjacent to the coastal city to make it livable and sustainable.
